Joshi Hospital Pvt Ltd, established in 2000 and officially registered in 2004, is a leading Orthopaedic and Joint Replacement Hospital located at Phaltan, District Satara, Maharashtra. What began as a small 5-bedded setup in a rented premises has today grown into a trusted 40-bedded multi-storey healthcare institution serving rural and semi-urban communities with dedication and excellence.
In 2003, the hospital shifted to its own well-equipped premises, and in 2023 it was renovated into a modern five-storey facility with advanced infrastructure comparable to corporate hospitals in metropolitan cities. The hospital is led by Dr. Prasad Vijaykumar Joshi, an eminent Orthopaedic and Joint Replacement Surgeon who chose to serve his hometown and surrounding rural population with commitment and compassion.
The hospital now offers 40 beds including semi-private, special non A/C, special A/C, deluxe A/C suites, trauma ICU beds and general beds. It is equipped with trauma OT, modular OT, advanced procedure rooms, consulting chambers and ambulance facilities. The campus provides 24-hour generator backup, purified water supply and ample parking space to ensure patient comfort and safety
Joshi Hospital has continuously upgraded its technology and facilities, including advanced MRI services, computer navigation joint replacement systems and robotic joint replacement technology through the Phaltan Robotics Centre.

Milestones
- 2000: Dr. Prasad Vijaykumar Joshi started his orthopaedic practice in Phaltan with a 5-bedded setup in a rented premises, dedicated to serving rural patients.
- 2003: Shifted to own well-equipped premises.
- 2004: Joshi Hospital Pvt Ltd was officially registered.
- 2009: Installation of Advanced Open MRI System (Hitachi Make), the first MRI facility at Taluka level in India.
- 2010: Started Computer Navigation Joint Replacement Surgery. Visit by Dr. Wolfram Kludge from Germany.
- 2012: Established Advanced Joint Replacement & Spine Centre with Modular OT and formed Phaltan Knee Club.
- 2012: Received ISO Certification for quality standards.
- 2019: Achieved NABH Entry Level Accreditation and implemented advanced IT-enabled hospital systems.
- 2020: During COVID-19 lockdown, successfully performed around 500 non-COVID surgeries with uninterrupted patient care.
- 2023: Renovated into a modern five-storey, 40-bedded hospital with upgraded infrastructure.
- 2023: Launched "Phaltan Robotics Centre" with Robotic Technology for Joint Replacement — first at Taluka level in India.
- 2024: Successfully completed 500+ Robotic Knee Replacement surgeries and received multiple National Awards for excellence in rural orthopaedic services.
